Project Kaylie's Bathroom...Complete!

This last week, my mom surprised us by getting us the cute bathroom stuff that I had been eyeing at Kohl's for Kaylie's bathroom.  I had been watching the prices and patiently waiting, but she beat me to it and bought the adorable Jumping Beans Owl Friends bathroom set.  The plain little white bathroom needed a little color, and so Kaylie and I made a trip to Home Depot, where we purchased this cute pastel violet paint.   Kaylie was then on her way to her Grandma and Grandpa Wiersema's for a couple days, so I thought I better make good use of the time and get to painting!  So, after a few small errors and the help of my wonderful husband on Wednesday night, the first coat was done!!  Who knew that such a small space would take so much time?!  I seriously underestimated the time it would take to paint, and thought I would have the whole thing done in a few hours!  The next morning, Justin was off to work, and I was determined to get that bathroom done before he was home!  Lucky for me, the second coat was a little easier than the first, and the clean-up was minimal.  So, Kaylie's super cute owl bathroom is complete!

Cute little owl shower curtain.  I just love these little owls.  My Grandma P. would have loved this!

This bath rug is just too cute to stand on.

A little view of the paint color.  I think it is so cute!

Then, I decided to get a little creative with my Cricut...I know, big surprise right?!  So, I found this little quote on the internet, cut it using a fun font and my handy dandy Cricut, and ta-da!  Here you have it!  I also tried making a little owl, which is super cute, but it doesn't match.  So, our little owl friend will be coming down, but still pretty cute!

Look's a little crooked, I may have to do a little re-adjusting.

Between the bathroom project and a little Spring cleaning, I would say that last week was a very productive one!  I am a list person, and I have several lists going of projects that need to be completed and weekly cleaning that needs to be accomplished.  So, it was very rewarding to get to cross one off of my Project List!  Of course, I am sure something else will come along and replace it!  Well, here is to hoping for another productive week!  Though, if it stays nice and warm outside, I see Kaylie and I doing a lot of playing and a little less working.  Happy Monday!

  1. You don't have to take the down the little owl! It looks just fine, but that's super adorable! I love it! Congratulations. Your craftiness has far outweighed mine and mom's and much of the family for that matter! :) Grandma P would LOVE those owls! I told Mom last night, "Between the birthday cake and the bathroom there's a good possibility that Michelle or Kaylie are going to inherit a big piece of Grandma." :) Man, I miss that lady!
